Bhogi is the famous festival of the Andhra pradesh which is the harvest festival and it is celebrated the day before the Makara Sankranti or Pongal. Bhogi festival starts from the dawn by lighting a bonfire with the wooden logs and other furniture which is of no use at home, which signifies the tranformation, realization and the purification of the human soul by inculcating and imbibing the various virtues.
